 LIVE LOUNGE - 24th March

Saturday 24th March promises to be an exciting evening for the Community Association as, for the first time, we host an evening of live acoustic music performed by local artistes, including Amy Crowder, Daniel Brewerton, Jasmine Taylor, Lewis Clay, Anthony Stephen Springall and Adam El Hagar. The programme for the evening will include 60s and 70s classic covers from The Beatles to Bad Company, 80s pop classic covers from Elton John to Bon Jovi, 90s covers such as Randy Newman, U2 and Anastasia as well as modern day covers like Paloma Faith, Adel, Pink, Bruno Mars, Michael Buble, Rhianna, Birdy and Kings of Leon.  The audience will sit around tables with food and drink available, encircling the artistes’ stage set up in the middle of the room, like a lounge. To book your ticket (£12.50 for VWCA members, £15 for non-members) call 01344 844948 or e-mail LiveLounge@vwca.org.uk.

 ANNUAL REPORT

The Annual General Meeting of the Virginia Water Community Association held on 30th November 2011 was attended by 26 members who received reports from the Association, its sub-committees and sections and some of the regular users of the Community Centre in Beechmont Avenue.  The Association reported a surplus of income over expenditure in relation to management of the Centre, for the first time in 3 years, with further income from social and fund-raising activities.
